IEI - UP State Centre
The UP State Centre of IEI, the oldest centre in India, held its first AGM on November 10, 1921 in Kanpur, inaugurated by Mr. AWE Stendley MLC as the first Chairman. The UP State Centre was initially housed in a rented building in Kaiserbagh, Lucknow and the present State Centre Building in River Bank Colony, Lucknow was constructed in 1958 and was inaugurated during the 38th Annual Convention of The Institution of Engineers (India) by Hafiz Mohd. Ibrahim, Minister for Irrigation and Power, UP Government.
The UP State Centre comprises 10 local centers located in Ghaziabad, Meerut, Aligarh, Agra, Bareilly, Kanpur, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, and Anpara.
